How to e-mail a bunch of
boaters
OK, you want to invite some or all Corny boaters to a party.
Here's how:
(Don't worry, this only sounds hard)
- Open your e-mail program, e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird,
etc.
- Create a signature that contains whatever you want to
say. how
- Copy the subject of your message to the clipboard. how
- Open the web-based Corny Directory. here
- Go down the list of boats. Click on one e-mail address.
A new message will open with the body containing whatever
you created in Step 2.
- Paste the subject into
the newly created e-mail, send.
- Repeat Steps 5 and 6. It goes really quick.
Why is this better than pasting 50 e-mail addresses
into one e-mail?
- It won't be blocked as a mass-mailing by spam filters
- You won't have to maintain your own list of e-mail addresses
- You can easily change who gets an invitation - just click
the ones you want
